Step 1 of 7

Moving in

These questions are about your parent (or whoever is moving into care).

On what date did (or will) your parent move into the aged care home permanently?

We've filled in today's date. If you're not sure yet, keep it or put in the date you expect.

For example, 27 3 2026

On what date was the room price agreed with the home? (optional)

The interest rate for paying the room by the day comes from this date. If you leave it blank, we use the move-in date. Near the start of a quarter (1 January, 1 April, 1 July or 1 October) that can give a different rate, so enter it if you know it.

For example, 27 3 2026

Did your parent leave their home on an earlier date (for example, for a hospital stay)? If so, when?

Leave it blank if they move straight from home into care. The estimate doesn't yet work out the time in between, and it will say so.

For example, 27 3 2026

Has your parent reached Age Pension age?

This decides whether their super counts and whether we can estimate their Age Pension. If you're not sure, their Centrelink letters will say.

Was your parent already living in an aged care home before 1 November 2025?
Was your parent approved for home care on 12 September 2024?
